Jennifer Ehle
Biography
Jennifer Ehle (born December 29, 1969) is an American actress. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Elizabeth Bennet in the BBC miniseries Pride and Prejudice (1995), a role that earned her the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. Ehle has also made a significant impact on stage, winning two Tony Awards for her performances in Tom Stoppard's plays The Real Thing (2000) and The Coast of Utopia (2007).
Her film credits include notable roles in The King's Speech (2010), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), and Fifty Shades of Grey (2015). Ehle has also appeared in various television series, such as The Looming Tower (2018) and The Good Fight (2022). Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, she is the daughter of English actress Rosemary Harris and American author John Ehle, and she trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
