Biography
Shah Rukh Khan, often referred to as SRK or the "King of Bollywood," is one of India's most iconic actors and producers. Born on November 2, 1965, in New Delhi, India, he began his career in television with shows like Fauji (1988) and Circus (1989). His film debut came in 1992 with Deewana, which marked the start of an illustrious career.
Shah Rukh Khan has appeared in over 80 films, earning widespread acclaim for his performances in movies such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Chak De! India (2007), and My Name Is Khan (2010). He has won 14 Filmfare Awards, including eight for Best Actor, a record in Bollywood. In 2005, he was honored with the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award, for his contributions to Indian cinema.
Beyond acting, SRK is a successful entrepreneur, co-owning the Kolkata Knight Riders cricket team and founding the production company Red Chillies Entertainment. He is also known for his philanthropic work, particularly in child health and education. Shah Rukh Khan is married to Gauri Khan, and they have three children.
